David Attia
“Assembly and Dynamics of Supramolecular Polymers in aqueous solutions”
David completed his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University (BGU) in 2017, where he also pursued his Master’s (Honor, 2019) and Ph.D. studies (2023) in the Advanced Materials Laboratory under the guidance of Prof. Rachel Yerushalmi-Rozen. His Master’s research focused on the stability and self-assembly of nanoparticles in non-aqueous environments. During his Ph.D., David investigated liquid-liquid crystalline phase separation (LLCPS) and the assembly and phase behavior of chiral nanostructures and their interactions with chiral and non-chiral monomers, polymers, and nanoparticles. After completing his doctorate, he continued at BGU as a postdoctoral fellow in the labs of Prof. Yerushalmi-Rozen and Prof. Ronit Bitton. In September 2024, he joined Prof. dr. dr. Patricia Dankers’ group to study the assembly and dynamics of supramolecular polymers in aqueous solutions.
