Jasper Aarts

Jasper Aarts obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in biomedical engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He did his master thesis in the group of prof. dr. Bert Meijer, where he investigated the self-assembly behavior of linear polymers containing perfluorinated side-chains in aqueous media. He completed his master’s program with an internship at the University of California, Los Angeles, in the group of prof. Heather Maynard, PhD. Here, he investigated the stabilizing effect of nanogels containing trehalose on proteins. Currently, Jasper is a PhD candidate in the group of prof. dr. dr. Patricia Dankers. He will focus his research on creating a self-learning high-throughput screening method of biomaterials.
