Vincent Irawan

Vincent completed his bachelor degree in Metallurgical and Material Engineering at the University of Indonesia (Depok, Indonesia). Later he obtained master and doctoral degrees in Biomaterial Science at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo, Japan) under Prof. Toshiyuki Ikoma. His doctoral works involved the design and synthesize of collagen and hydroxyapatite-based scaffolds for the application of bone and cartilage tissue regenerations. He continued as a postdoctoral researcher at the same group to develop a novel physical crosslinking method of collagen scaffolds. Vincent is currently joining the DankersLab to work on the development of stimuli-responsive hydrogels for cardiac regeneration and imaging.
