Ying Zhang received her Master’s Degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She worked in the field of Supramolecular Chemistry focusing on constructing Supramolecular Organic Frameworks (SOFs). After she completed her master degree, she performed her PhD research in Tissue Engineering at Radboud University in the Netherlands under supervision of Dr. Paul Kouwer. Her PhD research focused on establishing and applying thermal-responsive nanofibrillar hydrogels for 3D organoid culture and mechanobiology. Ying now holds a post-doc position in the group of Prof. Patricia Dankers where she works on designing a bioelectronics-based platform with synthetic polymers to model kidney functions and disease generation, and nephrotoxicity screening.
